We anticipated some questions you might have, so we’re answering them below!

Why should I join the campaign?

TAKE IT OFF FOR UP PEP! campaign is one of the many outrageous ways for you to take part in expressing the UP pride.

This is your chance to show your support for the UP pep in the craziest but most creative way! Plus, there’s a big chance of you being seen all over the world!

Who are you guys?

The campaign is a project of the creative minds of the Interactive Broadcasting (BC 148) class of the UP College of Mass Communication. It is our goal to help boost the morale and support for the UP Pep Squad, UP’s pride. The final output of this activity is a viral video campaign that will showcase UP’s indomitable spirit.

What’s in it for you guys?

The campaign is part of our class activity for our Interactive Broadcasting class. Nevertheless, our enthusiasm and interest in the campaign are our primary drive in pushing forward, especially our desire to boost the UP spirit.

You had me at “Take it off.” What should I do?

There are three ways to join the campaign.

Option 1

Step 1. Take a picture or video of yourself or with your friends while chanting/hollering/singing/declaiming/zarzuela-ing the official UP cheer. Be as creative and enthusiastic as you want!

Step 2. Then send your videos and photos to upweberkads@gmail.com on or before September 4, 2010.

Option 2

Step 1. Prepare your stunts and voices on September 2, starting at 1.30 pm.

Step 2. Look for the gorgeous guys and girls of the BC 148 class who will be wearing a maroon top. We will be visiting the colleges of CSSP, Business Administration, Engineering and Human Kinetics (we chose the colleges because they’re the crossroad buildings for every UP Diliman student). If you are in the vicinity, please do drop by!

Step 3. Approach us and ham it up for our cams. We promise not to edit anything out!

Option 3

Step 1. Watch the UAAP Cheer Dance Competition at the Araneta Coliseum on September 12.

Step 2. Join us in supporting the UP Pep by wearing a white shirt under a maroon top.

NOTE: UP Cheering classes and students are REQUIRED to wear their PE Shirt or a white Tshirt.

Step 3. Then TAKE OFF your maroon top and wave it in the air after the UP Pep finishes its routine. Show that white! Show our united UP spirit.
